Principles of Growth (2 Peter 1:1-11)

 Christian growth is possible.

"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness.”
Christian growth involves participation.

"For this reason, make every effort to add to your faith…”

 Christian growth is a process.

"For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive.”

  Christian growth is perceivable.

"Add to your faith goodness, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love.”

  Christian growth is essential.

"But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.”

Be eager to make your calling sure for if you do you will…

  • Keep from falling
  • Receive a rich welcome in Christ’s eternal Kingdom
